The system administrator will need to revoke that digital card from the Kindoo application and assign you a new digital card to your new phone. The old digital card must also be removed from the software of the access control system. The newly assigned digital card will have to be entered in the software of the access control system.
Yes. Both current phone and new phone must have an active internet connection. You will need to log out of the Kindoo application from the current phone for the system administrator to migrate the digital card to your new phone.
Unlike the conventional card or fob where you have to present it to the regular reader, you just have to launch the Kindoo application from your phone and the BLE signal is then sent from the application through your phone to the KIN W reader.

The purchase is done through the Kindoo application by the system administrator. The digital card must first be purchased in a minimum quantity of 10 and thereafter an increment of 5 each time. Once purchased, the system administrator can then assign a digital card, which contains a facility code and an identification number of your choice, to a user by sending an email invitation through the Kindoo application.
Unfortunately no. If you login from a new phone, you will be prompted to activate the new phone and the old phone will be deactivated automatically. Each digital card is uniquely assigned to the phone, and therefore you must ask your administrator to transfer your digital card from the old phone to the new phone.
Revoking a user from the Kindoo application is not enough. You must remove the digital card from the access control system software because that’s where your devices, e.g. lock, gate, etc, are being controlled. If not removed from the access control system then the revoked user can still gain access to your devices, because if his phone has no internet connection then the Kindoo application cannot connect to the Kindoo server to verify if the user is revoked or not.
It depends on how the installer configures and calibrates the KIN W reader. It can be configured to receive Bluetooth signal from close proximity to a maximum of 65 feet (20 m). The Kindoo application can also be configured to automatically emit a signal when within range or to emit a signal only when you manually press a button in the application.

Once an digital card has been assigned it is unique to that smartphone, and the digital card (facility code and number) must be entered in the access control system software just like any regular card or fob. To activate a device or gain access to a door, the application must be launched and run in the foreground in order to emit Bluetooth signal to the KIN W reader. The KIN W reader will then transmit the digital card information to the access control system. Leaving the Kindoo application running in the background will not work at all.
It depends on the access control system that you use. The 26-bit is the standard Wiegand format which will work with most access control systems, and the Cansec proprietary 37-bit Wiegand format primarily works with Cansec access control systems.

From your phone, please ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and the phone has an active internet connection. Place your phone close to the KIN W reader while scanning. If the KIN W has already been allocated to a site to which you are not authorized then you will get that error message. If you are still not able to scan it, please verify that it is correctly installed and powered on. Also, verify that you have the correct reader type. There are 2 types of readers, KIN W reader and KIN D reader. If you create a site of type W but your reader is of type D then that error message will also appear. See KIN D section for more information.
A KIN W digital card is an electronically encrypted unique identification number created by the Kindoo server. Similar to a regular card or a fob, each digital card has a facility code and a number or ID. However, digital card must be purchased from the Kindoo application by the system administrator.
The Kindoo application uses Bluetooth Low Energy signal through the phone to communicate with the KIN W reader. It’s the Kindoo application that communicates with the KIN W reader but not the phone itself.
The KIN W itself does not require internet access at all since it’s hard wired to an access control panel. The Kindoo application communicates with the KIN W via BLE signal so no internet connection is involved. However, the smartphone still requires internet access for any system updates from the Kindoo server, e.g. credential transfer or revocation, including but not limited to an application update.
KIN W is a Bluetooth Low Energy reader which outputs Wiegand format in either the standard 26-bit format or the Cansec proprietary 37-bit format. The KIN W reader is not an access control device and must be connected to any access control system that supports Wiegand input. The KIN W reader is not a NFC reader and is managed via the Kindoo application.
